Erin Bottomlee, Executive Director, [email protected]

Erin has been the Executive Director of St. Vincent Mission since 2016. She was a volunteer with the Christian Appalachian Project and worked with the Father Beiting Appalachian Mission Center prior to her work at St. Vincent Mission. She has Bachelor’s degrees in both Public Management from Austin Peay State University and Sociology from Morehead State University.
Her work at St. Vincent Mission focuses on see Christ’s work of reconciliation in the lives of those served. She also desires to see poverty alleviation efforts focus on the individual walking themselves out of poverty rather that outside sourcing being sought as the solution to their challenges.

Kim Castle, Assistant Director, [email protected]

Kimberley Castle is the Assistant Director / Grants Manager for St. Vincent Mission, Inc. in David, KY. She attended Big Sandy Community Technical College where she received a Practical Nursing and Medical Office diploma. Prior to accepting her position for St. Vincent Mission, she was the Service Unit Director for the Johnson County Salvation Army for six years.
Kimberley enjoys working in the Non-Profit sector serving others. She has a direct focus on breaking the chains of systemic poverty and helping others recognize their talents and abilities. She desires to see people become more reliant upon their own inherent gifts and resources rather than those of others with the ultimate goal of each person reaching their full-potential.

Kalen Ousley, Programs Director, [email protected]


Kalen Ousley is the Programs Director at St. Vincent Mission in Floyd County, KY. After spending a decade in Lexington working in automotive production and logistics, he returned home to serve as a Disaster Case Manager Coordinator following the 2022 flooding.
As Programs Director, Kalen oversees staff and programming at St. Vincent Mission. He believes in the nonprofit’s work and its positive impact on the community.
Kalen lives in Prestonsburg, KY, with his partner Joslyn, their two teenage sons, and two dogs. In his free time, he enjoys camping, hiking, biking, and kayaking with his family.

Heather Ousley, Work Force Advisor, [email protected]

Heather joined our team as our Workforce Advisor in March of 2024. Holding an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Vincennes University, she brings a wealth of experience and a passion for empowering others to our team. In 2022, Heather relocated to Floyd County from Georgia, where she’d developed valuable interpersonal skills in the customer service industry. In her position as Work Force Advisor, Heather combines her love for teaching with her commitment to serving others and excels at helping individuals recognize their value, guiding them towards reaching their full potential while addressing barriers to employment. Heather particularly enjoys the educational aspects of her work and values the relationships she’s able to build with the participants in our program. Beyond her professional skills, she is deeply involved in community service, serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and leading a group for young adults with developmental disabilities. While Heather wears many hats in her professional and volunteer life, she takes the most pride in her role as “Memaw” – a testament to her nurturing spirit and family values. Heather’s experience combined with her genuine desire to make a positive impact makes her an invaluable addition to the Saint Vincent Mission family.

Candice Caldwell, Workforce Navigator, [email protected]

Candice is the Workforce Navigator for Saint Vincent Mission. After graduating from Big Sandy Community and Technical College with an Associate’s of Arts degree, Candice has dedicated her career to nonprofit service in the region. Her experience includes vital disaster recovery work, where she worked as a Disaster Case Manager with Big Sandy Area Community Action Program after the destructive July 2022 flooding. Building upon this experience, she then went on to serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA member and grant writer for the Floyd County Disaster Recovery Coalition where she helped strengthen our community’s resilience. In her position as Saint Vincent Mission’s Workforce Navigator, Candice is researching ways to enhance our Career Readiness program and meeting with prominent sector leaders to create a plan of action that addresses current workforce and employment barriers. Candice currently resides in Prestonsburg with her cat, Miko.
